BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE
The school offers a breakfast and after school club which runs Monday to Friday throughout the school term.
Currently there is a UK government pilot for free breakfast clubs in primary schools underway, with 750 "early adopter" schools participating from April 2025 ahead of a planned national rollout. Bugthorpe is one of these pilot schools and we provide a free breakfast to all pupils, along with free childcare before school 8.30am – 9am for pupils in Reception to Year 6. We can also provide free ‘grab bags’ to pupils who arrive on the bus which contain a croissant/pancakes and fruit.
