Church Information

I've been coming into the school since I became Rector in Sutton in 2012 and I absolutely love meeting and talking with the children. With my Licensed Reader, Catharine Grievson, we take weekly collective worship sessions and come into classes for RE or other church-linked activities as required. The children at Sutton school are a brilliant bunch for asking about and thinking through the Christian faith.
The church also runs services aimed particularly at the children and their families. Although in general the church finances are not terribly healthy, a generous donor linked to the church enables us to contribute to school projects and other needs related to children and families. It's a delight when children come and work together with older congregation members, as at the Remembrance Sunday service in 2018.

As part of our celebrations for St Michael's day, we made the Archangel using some fruit and vegetables from the school grounds.
